What goes into a complete CCTV system
A CCTV system is only as good as its weakest link, whether that's a camera placed where it can't actually see the incident, footage compressed so heavily it's useless for identification, or a hard drive that overwrites itself before anyone reviews it. We design every camera system around what you'd actually need to see after something happens — entry points, cash handling areas, parking lots, loading docks — not just the spots that are easiest to mount a camera.
Resolution and lens selection are matched to the distance and purpose of each camera: wide-angle overview cameras for general awareness, and higher-resolution, narrower-angle cameras aimed at faces, license plates, or point-of-sale areas where identification actually matters. Every system we install supports remote viewing from a phone or computer, live or recorded, so you're never stuck waiting to get back to a physical monitor to see what happened.
Storage and retention are sized to your needs, not a default. Retail and hospitality clients often need 30–90 days of retention to cover chargeback disputes and incident reviews; construction and industrial sites may prioritize shorter retention with heavier motion-triggered recording. We can configure on-site NVR storage, cloud backup, or both, and we'll walk you through the tradeoffs during your free consultation.
