How long does a typical project take?
Project timelines vary tremendously based on size, service type, and complexity. A residential project may take 1–2 months, while larger commercial builds could require several months or more. This could be due to extraneous factors such as plan submittals and permit approvals that are dependent on the approval from county or local jurisdictions
Do you provide tailored solutions?
Yes, we work closely with clients to create solutions that meet their needs and align with their vision.
What’s included in your pricing plans?
Our pricing plans include materials, labor, project management, and post-labor support. We may have to charge if we send out a technician for any hardware repairs. Additional customizations may incur extra costs.
Do you handle permits and regulations?
Yes, we manage all necessary permits and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
What warranty do you offer on your projects?
We aim to support and maintain leased system devices to ensure proper functionality. While we address most technical issues, instances of damage or malfunction resulting from misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications may not be covered.
Do you work with both restidential and commercial clients?
Yes. We install and service security and fire alarm systems for homeowners, small businesses, multi-tenant buildings, retail locations, warehouses, and large commercial facilities. Our team is experienced in scoping projects of all sizes.
Are you licensed and insured to perform security and fire alarm installations?
Absolutely. We hold all required state and local licenses for low-voltage electrical work, security system installation, and fire alarm systems. We carry full general liability and workers' compensation insurance on every job.
How do I know which system is right for my property?
We start with a free on-site assessment where we evaluate your property layout, entry points, lighting, and risk profile. From there, we recommend a tailored solution; whether that's a camera system, intrusion alarm, fire alarm, or a fully integrated combination.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance and service after installaion?
Yes. We offer scheduled maintenance plans as well as on-call service for any issues that arise after installation. Keeping your system functioning correctly is just as important to us as the initial install. If there are any system parts that were broken under negligence, then we would have to charge the individual cost of the item.
What brands and equipment do you work with?
We work with industry-leading manufacturers including Alula, Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Honeywell, DSC, Bosch, Napco, Notifier, and more. We select equipment based on reliability, warranty support, and how well it fits the specific application.
How long does a typical installation take?
Most residential installations are completed in one day. Commercial projects vary based on scope — a small office may take one to two days, while a large multi-floor facility can take several days to a week or more. We provide a timeline estimate before any work begins.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
Yes. We stand behind our installations with a labor warranty, and the equipment we install comes with manufacturer warranties. If something isn't working correctly after we leave, we come back and make it right.
Can you integrate multiple systems - cameras, alarms, and fire - into one platform?
Yes. System integration is one of our core strengths. We design solutions where your camera feeds, intrusion detection, and fire alarm alerts can all be monitored from a single interface, giving you a unified view of your entire property.
What is the difference between analog CCTV and IP camera systems?
Analog (CCTV) systems transmit video over coaxial cable and are generally lower cost, making them a practical option for simpler applications. IP (network) camera systems transmit digital video over ethernet or Wi-Fi and deliver significantly higher resolution, advanced features like analytics and remote access, and greater scalability. We install and support IP Cameras.
What resolution do your security cameras record at?
We install cameras ranging from 2MP (1080p) up to 12MP (4K) depending on the application. Higher resolution is recommended when you need to identify faces or license plates from a distance. We'll recommend the right resolution for each camera location on your property.
Can I view my cameras remotely from my phone?
Yes. All of our IP camera systems support remote viewing through a smartphone app or web browser. You can access live feeds and recorded footage from anywhere with an internet connection.
How much storage do I need for my camera system?
Storage requirements depend on the number of cameras, resolution, frames per second, and how many days of footage you need to retain. We calculate your storage needs during the design phase and configure your NVR or DVR accordingly; whether that's local storage, a RAID array, or cloud-based backup.
Do your cameras work in low-light or nighttime conditions?
Yes. We install cameras with built-in infrared (IR) night vision, low-light sensors, and in some cases, full-color night vision using starlight or dual-light technology. We match the camera to the lighting conditions of each specific location.
What is the difference between indoor and outdoor cameras?
Outdoor cameras are built to an IP65 or IP67 weatherproof rating, meaning they are sealed against dust and moisture. They also feature vandal-resistant housings rated IK10. Indoor cameras are designed for controlled environments and typically offer a smaller form factor. We spec the correct camera type for every location.
Can cameras be installed without running new wiring?
In some cases, yes. We can use existing coaxial cable with HD-over-coax technology, or deploy Wi-Fi cameras where running cable isn't practical. We assess each site to determine the cleanest and most reliable installation method.
Do you install PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) cameras?
Yes. PTZ cameras are an excellent choice for covering large open areas like parking lots, warehouses, and building perimeters. They can be manually controlled or set to follow automated patrol patterns. We install and configure PTZ cameras for both residential and commercial applications.
How does a monitored alarm system work?
When your alarm is triggered, a signal is sent to a 24/7 central monitoring station. Trained operators assess the alert and contact you, your designated contacts, or dispatch emergency services as needed. Monitoring ensures someone is always watching over your property even when you are not.
What types of sensors do you use in intrusion alarm systems?
We install door and window contacts, passive infrared (PIR) motion detectors, glass break sensors, vibration sensors, and dual-technology sensors that combine PIR and microwave detection to reduce false alarms. We design the sensor layout based on your specific floor plan and risk areas.
Can I arm and disarm my alarm system from my phone?
Yes. Modern alarm panels we install support remote arming and disarming through a smartphone app. You can also receive real-time push notifications for any alarm events, whether you are at home or away.
Do you install access control systems alongside intrustion alarms?
Yes. Access control - including keypad entry, key fob readers, and card readers - works hand-in-hand with intrusion detection.
Are you licensed to install fire alarm systems?
Yes. Our technicians hold the certifications and licenses required by state and local fire codes to design, install, and service fire alarm systems. We work in compliance with NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code) and all applicable local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
Do your fire alarm systems connect to the fire department automatically?
Yes. We can connect your fire alarm system to a UL-listed central monitoring station that is set up to notify the local fire department upon alarm activation. This ensures the fastest possible emergency response even if no one is on-site.
How often should a fire alarm system be tested and inspected?
NFPA 72 requires annual inspection and testing for most commercial fire alarm systems, with some components such as batteries and smoke detectors requiring more frequent checks. We offer service agreements that keep your system compliant with code and functioning correctly year-round.
Can you upgrade an existing fire alarm system without replacing everything?
In many cases, yes. If your existing infrastructure is in good condition, we can retrofit newer devices or upgrade the control panel while reusing existing wiring and conduit. We perform a full assessment before recommending replacement versus upgrade to save you cost where possible.
